東京大学生産技術研究所（IIS）は、「工学とデザイン視点の融合による価値創造」をコンセプトとする取り組み『価値創造デザイン（Design-Led X）』を推進しています。英国ロイヤル・カレッジ・オブ・アート（RCA）と共同でデザインラボ（RCA-IIS Tokyo Design Lab）を発足させ、これまでにマイクロラボ、展示会、ワークショップなどの活動を行って参りました。 このたび、新たに産学連携のためのコンソーシアムと、領域を超えた人材を育成するための推進基盤を立ち上げることとなりました。また、RCAからペニントン・マイルス教授、MITメディアラボから尾崎マリサ（スプツニ子！）特任准教授を迎え、ますます『価値創造デザイン』の活動を加速させています。 今回のフォーラムでは、これまでの活動と新たな取り組みを紹介し、この先のビジョンについて語り合います。 ぜひともご参集いただきたくご案内申し上げます。
It is with great pleasure that we announce we will convene the 3rd Design-Led X Forum on Monday 11th December 2017. Design-Led X is an initiative at the Institute of Industrial Science (IIS), the University of Tokyo, to create design engineering innovation. It is carried out in strong collaboration with the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London. As part of that partnership we have established the RCA-IIS Tokyo Design Lab, which develops science-innovation projects, exhibitions and workshops. In recent months new activities have included launching a consortium for industry-academia collaboration and a platform for creativity education. In addition, Professor Miles Pennington, formerly at the RCA, and Associate Professor Marissa Ozaki (Sputniko!), formerly at the MIT Media Lab, have joined us to accelerate the Design-Led X activities. In this forum, we will present our recent activities and discuss the Design-Led X future.
